This session, the third in a series of webinars related to neonatal nutritional needs and feeding practices will focus on feeding risks and feeding advancement.  Controversies surrounding slow vs more rapid feeding advancement and use of feeding protocols will be discussed.  The available evidence showing improved outcomes with consistency of feeding progression and consistency in definition of feeding intolerance will be included.  Take away points will be available for advocacy for the implementation of feeding protocols in the NICU and definitions of feeding intolerance for the bedside caregiver.   The final webinar in this series will address necrotizing enterocolitis.
