Sherry Payne is the 2013 IBCLC inductee and executive director of Uzazi Village, a nonprofit organization devoted to decreasing pregnancy related health disparities in the urban core of Kansas City, Missouri. Payne is a certified nurse educator and midwifery student, as well as the founder of The Chocolate Milk Café, a monthly gathering and support group for African American women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. David Duresky

Mr. Duresky is one of the founding members of the Breastfeeding Coalition of Broward County, Florida and he currently works for the Broward Healthy Start Coalition. He is the author of an evidence-based curriculum utilizing motivational interviewing to address breastfeeding rates, which was subsequently funded by the Florida Department of Health. Duresky trained more than 100 breastfeeding educators in 2012 on how to implement the curriculum and in 2013, he is responsible for training all breastfeeding educators across the state of Florida. Illustrator and co-publisher of the children’s book, "This Milk Tastes Good!" about breastfeeding, which also features an African American family, V. Kuroji Patrick is a father and community activist who educates others, from expectant teenage parents to healthcare providers about the benefits of breastfeeding.
